In the past, MS has used the Mac version as sort of a testing ground for new features/options in the rendering engine that end up in the Windows version.

Anything new at all? Or rendering behavior?

Brett_Tabke: I can't tell much difference. It was just a jump from 5.2 to 5.2.1. The rendering still seems slower than OmniWeb or Mozilla.

Do the Windows versions have the Auction Manager? I had trouble with it automatically updating in the earlier version for OS X, but now it seems to work better. The feature has been there for a while, however. Nothing new...

version 5.1.5 for mac classic (Non OS X)

- still uses the tasmin engine.
- full standards support for HTML 4.0 - Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) 1.0
- Document Object Model (DOM) 1.0 HTML
- Extensible Markup Language (XML) and
- Portable Network Graphics (PNG).

Also uses Alexa seach engine for related links

If im not mistaken nothing new here, seems more like a security patch.

havent noticed a major difference in page loading ... still prefer Opera.

The Explorer update for MacOSX now antialiases fonts using Quartz.

I downloaded it, but the Quartz implementation is not quite right (what a shock, huh?).
Some fonts and/or sizes are not antialiased at all, and others are... well.. "fuzzy".
