Mac: Powerbook 1G 15", OS X 10.3.4. I bought it 2 moons ago, and it works without problems since it's back from service.
Fav app: iTunes. Off course I intend to run Apache/PHP on the PB and connect the thing to the Win network in order to share files and do something useful, but I haven't set all that up yet...
I was born in California and spent most of my life there, but right now I live in Dog Patch (not in California).
I got my first computer in 1997, an old Pentium. I was leaning towards Macs, but some PC-centric friends and relatives told me all sorts of stories about how Macs were so bad, blah blah blah, so I got a PC. Basically, I was a newbie and I didn't know any better. The PC was okay, I guess. Then, in late 1999, I decided to break free and I got my first Mac, a used 6100/60 off of eBay. I loved it!
Since then I've had more Macs than I can count, including two iMacs (the CRT kind), several beige Macs that come and go (I seem to buy and sell on eBay a lot), and currently, I have two G4 towers and an upgraded 8600.
I also keep my PCs around and I consider myself "cross platform." While I don't hate PCs, they don't have that "special something" that Macs have. Even though I need the use of my PCs and would not want to be without them, there are times when I don't need to use them for long stretches of time and I don't miss them at all.
I mostly use my Macs for web design (Dreamweaver), Photoshop, burning DVDs, Word, InDesign. I create websites focusing on my hobbies, interests and passions. I've also written a book and intend to write more in the future.
My hobbies are travel (especially to Yosemite National Park), photography, art, and music (I love Garageband!). My Macs are wonderful tools and they help me express my creativity.
My name is Blakmonk, and I'm a alcoholic.. euh.. MacUser.
I've touched my first mac at7 years old... then stayed away untill '94 with MacTCP and MacPPP.. whooo.. hard times...
Then I played with a friend's powerbook with the version before Jaguar... SWEEEEET! it had a unix core... finally my command line!... Then I got a G4 800Mhz with 768 Mb RAM (iLamp)... wasn't impressed with the spee... then got myself a 2.0Ghz G5 SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET... and got rid of ALLLLLL my PCs, except for my laptop... Need to support some win2003 servers with remote desktop (I would love a to do that with the mac though)...
My Only problem is the Canadian CSA keyboard mapping.. baaaaaaad :( (http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum49/556.htm)...

Peeve: Platform bashing (nah who am I kidding ha! :)
Webmastering: I feel like I've gone as far as I can with static HTML. So first thing I did with the iMac is install PHP and MySQL. Fun stuff, too bad about all the security problems. I probably will never put my dynamic stuff on the web. My current ISP is REALLY sensitive about letting idiots like me post script.

Started on a PDP/11, got my hands on a prototype Lisa, returned to my slide rule for about 20 years, then was given a MacPlus. I keep my receipes on it ....
Future plans: running cat V cable under my house and connecting all the computers together.
