Printing from OSX via Windows

I would like to print from my PowerBook running OSX.3 via a PC running Windows XP which has a Brother laser printer connected to it.

While trying to add a new printer from OSX, I select the "Windows Printing" option and selelct the PC. I am confronted by a dialog box asking to enter the PC's Username & Password.

I enter the details and after a minite or two I get an error telling me that the username / password is incorrect. I beleive I am entering the corect login details.

I don't have a password on the PC, so I just enter the login name, but for some reason it fails.

By the way, yes, the printer I'm trying to connect to is shared.

Have you tried not entering either a login name or a password. This worked for me...

Yeah, I did try leaving the login and password blank, but no go.
