Snow Leopard Bug Causing Data Loss [news.bbc.co.uk]

Users of the new Apple operating system Snow Leopard are experiencing massive data losses when logging into their machines under a guest account.

The problem appears to affect those who had a guest account enabled before upgrading to Snow Leopard.

Users have in some cases lost their entire main profile, including sites, pictures, videos and documents.

I saw this and went to check on my machine and saw that my Guest Account was off.

To check your Guest Account Status:

Go to System Preferences -> System -> Accounts

Click the lock on the lower left ( you will have to enter your log in username and password)

Click on the Guest Account
Make sure that "Allow guests to log in to this computer is Unchecked

Click the lock to save the changes.
