I have a MBP and an HP both on the same network. The MBP drops the Fios connection quite often while the HP stays connected. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Wireless, I assume. Our Powerbook in the office, which is on but not used heavily, drops its wireless connection often as well. Saving bandwidth on a network?

Does this MacBook drop the wireless connection after it has gone to sleep and wakes up or just randomly when using it? I know that my Powerbook has a bout a 50-50 chance of still being online when it wakes up.

In my case, since we got the Mac Wireless Router, it never drops when you're on the web or sending email. But, if you sit down at the keyboard after lunch, you often have to hit the wireless icon at the top of the screen and wake it up. Now, with the Belkins unit we had, it would drop in the middle of work. (Very large office situation; router is 50 yards and several walls from the Powerbook.)
