Ive just converted to Mac. but for some reason i cant get my usb adsl modem to install, i have to install the drivers then plug the usb modem in the reboot, this i have done and the modem should then appear in the network box in system configuration underneath the internal 56k modem, but it doesnt,

i followed the intructions to the letter!

Is this becuase i need to get the latest updates from apple using the 56k? then will the usb be recognised?

Many Thanks

Dan

I had the same problem with my cable modem when I first got it. Here's what I found, you don't have to install drivers for the thing, it should be recognised as a network connection and go.

Check your settings for your network connections in your system controls, your machine may still be trying to use the 56k as a connection.

(My problem turned out to be a faulty cable modem)
