The reviewer concludes with:
The iPod touch was a revelation when it was introduced a year ago: an iPhone without the phone, a wish come true for geeks everywhere who had already signed their lives away to Verizon or Sprint. The improvements that come with the touch 2G are minor—a built-in speaker, a barely-thinner contour, and the useful-if-not-mind-blowing Genius feature. Nevertheless, they're something, and when you improve a five-star product, you get, well, an even-better five-star product. Sorry, folks, that's as high as we go. The greatest improvements are probably yet to come, as more exciting apps are designed to exploit the strengths of the touch platform. But as it stands the iPod touch remains the best portable media player on the market, period.
