The new MS software has some bugs. I would describe these as serious issues that need to be addressed.

From the article:

A pair of installation-related problems involving the new release of Microsoft's Office 2008 for the Macintosh won't cause damage to your data or prevent the productivity suite from running. But the issues, discovered by a user, pose potential security and administrative headaches. Microsoft is vowing fixes for both.

I hate that MS still uses an installer. They should just allow drag and drop installation like 95% of apps, and they wouldn't have these problems.

The patch is now available.

Meanwhile, my mini-review: Office 2008 seems to run a bit faster on my new Macs. Nothing really to get excited about in regards to the email. Word has some nifty features if you are into publishing brochures and stuff for your club or church or something. PowerPoint is a good update.

You probably should get it, someday.
