Ok, this is what I think would be a great product, headphones with a mic built in, so when you are listening to your itunes via the headset, and the phone rings you can press a button either on the headset or on the Mac and the music dims and the phone is answered. When you hang up, the music rises back up to the previous level.

This is something that the iPhone does and I thought why not for a desktop Mac?

Any suggestions?

Use can use the standard headset with a boom mic, plug one into the microphone jack and one into the headphones jack - cable adapters can make a phone headset into a mac one and then all you need is a VOIP / SIP software client. There are a few VOIP / SIP clients out there but it really depends on your needs, situation and setup (servers, budgets, etc.)...

If you have an iSight camera and iChat (and the person you want to talk to does too) this is would be the "neatest" way to conduct video calls - a one upper you might say.
