Anybody aware of some more SEO tools that run on Mac OS X? I know there is a load of them on Win, but I can't find too many on Mac.
I am using advancedwebranking for tracking web site ranking in search engines and I'm looking for something similar that tracks the number of links to my sites.
Any leads would help, or in absence can you recommand a good website based similar tool?
Thanks,
Nick
Is that so? The way I understood it is that TOS forbids sending in the URL for your own site, or a site you're working on, but that URL's to reference materials (i.e., with answers to questions) were OK.
While on my Mac I can generate a ranking chart, tweak a few colors, change a line from dashed to dotted, remove some useless URLs, generate and email/print a gorgeous PDF to my clients in minutes!
And please don't give me that crap about the TOS interdiction on using automated qerying to search engines. Those are empty words: in the days of NATs and IP masquerading, it is simply unenforceable. Even the browser is an automated query tool for God's sakes!
Anyways, back to my original question: if anyone knows about such desktop tools running on Mac, plese let me know. I am still looking and Google isn't finding any.
Send a private message if posting their URLs is against the board TOS.
Thanks!
Nick
You can also buy OS X, Google and Spidering hacks from Oreilly and download their code - at oreilly.com - try it now as they provide some sample chapters too. That should give you all the tools you ever wanted and some - and you can totally customise them in ways that suit you. Great stuff!
