G3 iMac Flash problems

IE 5 doesn't like my flash files

I have a iMac PowerPC G3, 600 Mhz
Memory: Built in 256mb
Virtual: 257mb
OS 9.2.2

I'm using MSIE5 for the mac and when I load a page with a flash file, I get the Error message "Not enough memory to open the plugin 'Shockwave Flash NP-NPPC'. Allocating more memory to Internet Explorer may help"

But allocating more memory doesn't work.

I have another Mac which works fine:
Power MAc G4, 450 Mhz
Memory: Built in 512mb
Virtual: 513mb
OS 9.2.2

I'm assuming from this that the iMac just doesn't have enough built in memory, but 256mb doesn't seem a big enough problem to cause this?! (i'm not a Mac expert)

The main thing I need to know is, would this problem be common among mac users trying to access flash files, is the best option to do without flash if I don't want to lose these users?

Hope someone can help.

try downloading and reinstalling the flash plug-in again.

i have an old 233mhz g3 and flash works fine for me.

cheers jimbo, that seems to have done the job. There was an option of downloading 2 different flash players for the mac, I don't know if that had something to do with it.

I hate there being potential problems with other users out there. If I had the problem with my website, then I can be sure others will.....I hate it!

Thanks again
