Hi

I was a bit too enthusiastic with my email deletion today! I use outlook and deleted to the 'deleted' folder, and then deleted most within that folder..... and shouldn't have.

Is there any way I can still view those messages?

Thanks
Mike

MHes, i fear the answer is no.

However, what *could* work: In know that at least Entourage doesn't delete/compress by default. So even deleted emails *could* be found within the db files using BBEdit. Allready looked into this direction?

Funny you should say bbedit. I used to have a very old version that opened just about anything... needless to say I have lost it somewhere over the years! I loved it as a program so I will get a new version anyway and try.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Happened to me a long time ago. Check your system for files ending in .pst, if you find any, try importing them. My outlook was regularly archiving old emails to my surprise and I was able to recover a large chunk of deleted emails. Not sure if this will work for you as I am using a windows OS.

Another option is they are still on the sever. Do you have Outlook set to delete from the sever after downloaded, deleted from your machine, or nothing set?

>bbedit.

It's a must have. The swiss army knife. Demo version free to download [barebones.com] (30 days trial). Worth to pay for the full version though!
