Apple leaks new G5 specs

About 20 minutes ago the Apple store had a gif image with the following PowerPC specs before it was pulled:

1.6GHz, 1.8GHz, or Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 Processors
Up to 1 GHz processor bus
Up to 8GB of DDR SDRAM
Fast Serial ATA hard drives
AGP 8x Pro graphics options from NVIDIA or ATI
Three PCI or PCI-X expansion slots
Three USB 2.0 Ports
One FireWire 800, two FireWire 400 ports
Bluetooth & Airport Extreme ready
Optical and analog audio in and out

That is great! I feel for the soul who put that up. Do you know when they are supposed to be announced? I thought it was at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2003 on June 23. Oh well, thanks for the heads up.

Too bad they didn't mention anything in the specs about noise levels. They've got a crop of G4's out there that I consider health hazards.

If you value your hearing, don't buy Mirrored Drive Door G4.

Yea it rumored to announced Monday at the WWDC.

I was looking around the web for a site with the graphic, and stubbled onto a mac rumor site. They said there was a leak, but Apple made them take the gif down. Oh well, Monday is not too far.

Jobs finally got the hint and put a headphone jack in the front of the newer G4s. Maybe with this model he will have the good sence to have added a USB and or Firewire port in the front too.

Still G4 in the main heading, but def 3 types of "G5" mentioned in the brief spec.....

Exciting news. Wonder how long before we get G5 in a portable?

Yup, the last one got moved to Public Relations. Managed to get everyone talking about the new product without spending a penny.

Yeah, I'm not convinced it was a mistake either. It even made it into a couple of daily newspapers here in the UK. And Jobs made a joke of it during his keynote, he doesn't usually do that if he's angry (I've seen him angry, it's not a pretty sight)
