Outlook Express crashes OS9

Want to leave this relationship.

After composing an email in OE, when sending, my OS9.01 locks up. This happens a couple of times a day but not with every email send. Really frustrating. Running the most current version of OE. Happens when no other programs are running.

Sometimes think it could be from FontReserve conflict but not sure.

Any thoughts? Rebuilding desktop and Norton hasn't helped.

Switch to Eudora. :) (OK, not the answer you were looking for... but it would most likely fix the problem.)

I have found OE to be very stable. You may be on to something with FontReserve; have you tried disabling it?

When I was running OS 9 I can't say I ever ran into any consistent crashes with OE. You might try updating to 9.2 or you might make the big plunge, OS X 10.2 -- crashes are like Big Foot sittings :-) and when they happen it is not the system that fails.

Since the crash is very specific, you might try trashing the prefs. If this is a recent problem and not a problem you have had from the beginning of your use with OE it could be the culprit.

My wife has endless problems with Eudora (on OS X, however).
