I have an problem accessing certian files from a Mac computer using IE 5.1.6 on OS 9.

Certian (pdf) files in the Northern district of Illinois court website
[ilnd.uscourts.gov...]
When recent opinions are searched for only documents with the 9999 document number code will display properly.
The others will seem to be loading, but never launch the Adobe Reader program (ver 5.0), and never get drawn to the page.
If I drag the link to the desktop the page will render occasionally, but usually will not.
I need to know if it is a bug in the court site, or if it is a bug in Mac IE. If it is a Bug in IE any help or suggestions to get the page to render properly would be greatly appreciated.

I would bet it's a problem with the site... if they are all PDF files, and all created with the same version of Acrobat, I can't think of any IE/Mac related problems that would cause some of them to load and others not to.

Haven't experienced a problem like that myself though, so I can't say specifically what the problem might be.

Replying from my very limited knolwledge. Do you use layers? If so, what do you call them? I had a problem with calling my layers "layer1","layer2","layer3",etc. Once I had renamed them something exclusive or unique - no problem! Good Luck!

PDF files have no layers, html or css involved. It's a totally different situation. ;)

chenck the URL, I do not think it is exclusive to that particular mac, when I use a PC to download the files and then view them on a Mac they display normally.
