Seems very interesting, especially since Linux based, systems was going to pass MAC in popularity as a OS this year.

i don't own a mac, but the people i talked about, they all love this underlying unix stuff.

More and more stuff keeps popping up each day and its making me want to give Mac a shot. I don't know if I can hold out much longer.

Mac's too spendy for me. When you can run linux on a cheap pc from dell with tons of power, I don't see alot of benefit to switch.

It's a great thing that macs have X. That means that the only (still active) user scale system that doesn't have it is Windows. Now I can worry less for not porting out of xlib.

Just learned OSX is Linux.

Actually, OSX is Darwin running over a Mach microkernel, that is a derivative of BSD. But nobody would notice the difference from a distance :)

That's absolutely great news to see official support for X11 from apple!

Some questions remain, however:
- How does this relate to the existing similar projects?
- Do they plan to turn this into a product, or will it be free (eg. included with the OS)?
