How Google treats it?

We've two business listing pages published and both are live now.

We've made a very first business listing at the time of website creation. After that, we want to focus and target another country. So, created another business listing.

I've talked with Google Executive regarding this matter. He replied that stop using the old one and do frequent promotion on the new one.

My questions are :
1. How Google treats it?
2. Does it harmful for my ranking and conversions?
3. If yes, what should i do?

Your early reply would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Audrey

We cannot be sure how Google will treat it, only Google knows that. However, if it's the same business and you have more than one entry for the same thing that's likely to be treated as spam. The advice by the Google Executive is worth listening to.

Google has it's own FAQ over multiple sites [google.co.uk...]

Yeah, you should listen to the Google executive. You can have multiple location under one listing but not two listing with different locations.
