Deleting Google My Business Page - Impact on Knowledge Graph?

Has anyone ever deleted a Google Plus Local page that had overwhelmingly negative reviews? We have a client that's getting maliciously spammed.
If so, what were the repercussions? Did the Knowledge Graph disappear? Did the page even delete properly?

Sorry Andiamo,

Google won't let you delete a GMB page. You can delete from your account, but that just removes your control of the listing and removes any additional data/images you may have added. The listing and reviews will remain live. It will just be bare and out of your control.

G does this because if it's still a viable business and it's listed on other directories - G wants to be accurate, so will keep it listed. No way to get around it unless business closes.

Have you tried reporting the reviews?

Have you tried replying to the reviews? There are lots of posts out there that give tips about how to tactfully reply to reviews like this.

We're in the process of reporting the reviews. Unfortunately I think that replying would only add fuel to the fire, so we're holding off on that.
