Here is the scenario -

1. There is a hotel and it has a Google Places (My Business now) account set-up.
2. This Places account is already claimed but the owners have no access to it nor they have any idea using which email address it is claimed.

Is there way to close existing account and transfer it to a new account so it can be managed?

Thanks

Hi McMohan,

There is no way for you to close and move it if you can't find the log in.

PLUS should not close and start over as that is likely a mature listing and starting over could cause rank drop or loss of reviews.

Best thing is to contact support via phone. Preferably be logged into the Google account you want to claim it in and hopefully the email on that G account is xyz@theirdomain.com (But if not, it's still doable.)

If the listing in the other account is dormant and has not been edited for a long time, it's pretty easy to get it switched over to you. If there are recent edits then they have ways to verify that you should be the rightful owner.

To get to support if in US, during business hours click:
[support.google.com...]

If you don't see the "contact us" button then either you are trying during off hours or you are in a different country. Your G+ settings need to be "English".

Hope that helps and best of luck!
