hey,
when you search on google.com for stuff like "restaurants in san diego" you get the google local listing results including the google maps and the businesses on that area..
i'm wondering - when is it going to get to other countires like israel ?
if i do the same search in hebrew on google israel (google.co.il) it never gives the local listing results..
is it a matter of time ?

I guess it depends on the country. We've had local listings in Japan for quite a while.

As I understand it, features are created in some of Google's main countries for development, and then subsequently rolled out to other versions of Google afterwards on a prioritized basis. I would guess the priority comes from overall usage and perhaps population by country.

Yes, it will come... I've seen this being tested in my area outside of the US, but more on a specific neighborhood level rather than the larger city/community.

One thing to note: the language that is commonly spoken here is English, and we do get a substantial influx of people from the US. It may well be different if that's not the case in your region.
