Hi, I am running plesk 6 on my Linux box, and plesk 6 requires having your name servers running, they are running, and I set the name servers in the plesk control panel, and I registered my name servers with my domain registrar. But it seems to be its still not working. can someone help?

Okay, what exactly can we help with?

Do you have nameservers already? Do you wish to set them up? Can you give us a little more info?

Dear bakedjake,

I read your other thread about setting up DNS. I am totally new to this.
I like to use ns.ns1.xyzzz.com and ns1.ns1.xyzzz.com as 2 name servers. So I went to godaddy (my registrant) and add
ns.ns1.xyzzz.com ip xx.xx.xx.xx
ns1.ns1.xyzzz.com ip ****.xxx.xxx.xxx
So I believe I have registered with internic for these 2 names so the world will know them

1. Do Ineed point the www.xyzzz.com's DNS to ns.ns1.xyzzz.com and ns1.ns1.xyzzz.com? Or I can still use www.xyzzz.com's old DNS, which is totally different DNS, like ns1.webmasterworld.com and ns2.webmasterworld.com

2. I have linux and plesk. How do I use plesk to set up the 2 name server? (sorry this is a too basic question but I am really new to this. Thanks!)

Thanks,
