Linux and Microsoft's browscap.ini

I had a question from a visitor to the site in my profile regarding the use of Microsoft's browser capabilities database called browscap.ini.

Is there any way to make use of browscap.ini in a Linux environment without resorting to something like Sun ONE ASP?

If so, are there any security issues I should know about?

Look up the PHP get_browser() function. It can use the Windows browscap.ini, or another one you get from other sources. I've never used it myself, but I know it exists.

Thanks but I am already PHP's official source for browscap.ini. My question was about Linux. :)

Is there native support in Linux for browscap.ini?

Perhaps it's a stupid, newbie question. If so please forgive me. I work on the dark side (MS) and Linux is completely foreign to me. ;)

Oh. In that case, I can't help much. I've never heard of browscap.ini except in the PHP documentation.
