What programs does everyone here decide to use for various things? eg., games, internet browser, chat, IM, and anything else you wanna throw at me ;-)

I was wondering, I had been using IPChains under RH but I heard that the newer distros does not have IPChains, anyone know whats up? Is there a better replacement?

newer distros does not have IPChains

ipchains gets replaced by iptables in kernels over 2.4 - easier to set up and with more features.

Also, everyone knows of all the darn spyware on the internet. It affects windoze extremely easily...does it do the same with linux?
