This is sort of silly in my opinion, I doubt if it will make them sell more official distribution copies. The way the folks at unixcd.com get around this is that they sell the product like this:
"4 CDROM Set containing Red Hat Linux 7.2"
Cheapbytes is doing something a little less conventional:
Looking for CDs containing the downloadable
version of the "Unknown" operating system?Hint: The name has to do with an article of clothing
to keep your head warm.We can't call it by it's real name due to trademark law.
