I've been trying out abiword, kword and oppenoffice60. Out of the three I think openoffice is now the better of the bunch. It seems to handle MS formatted .docs the best. Abiword 0.9.2 just doesn't handle tables. I think star/openoffice has come a long way in the last year it seems much leaner and cleaner than 5.2
So what are you using and why?
side note, open office is also freely available for MS users...
