vim mouse mapping in aterm

Anybody get 'set mouse=a' to work with aterm? It works fine with xterm, but I would like it to work with my favorite term.

Wow, talk about an esoteric question, littleman!
It seems counter intuitive but adding TERM=xterm-color to my .bashrc made vim's mouse mapping work with aterm. Odd huh?

Quite likely aterm was missing from your termcap/terminfo if that fixed it. At least, every time I've found that lying about what terminal I was using made things better, that was why.
