I was looking for a little advice on how to improve the speed of a new site. It's PHP/MySQL/Linux... it's growing fast but bottlenecks at about 4,000 uniques a day. We can easily get 20,000 a day now and anticpate as many as 100,000 + by the end of the year.
I'm guessing it's a MYSQL issue, but we can't figure it out as there are so many varibales.
We tried...
1) Optimze PHP code
2) Create more tables for MYSQL
3) Optimize indexes
4) Tweak server settings
and nothing seems to help... I'm wondering if the serer is just too plain weak or if something can be done?
We're running...
Red Hat Fedora Core 4 / RIAD 1
2G RAM
pently of bandwidth and disk space...
Suggestions or any pros that want to consult feel free to PM me...
Thanks
