For quite some time, I've been using Eterm as my primary terminal emulator in X, a habbit I got started on a few years ago before I decided to put Gnome on my machine so that more of my friends would be able to sit down at my screen and get something simple done. I recently decided that I was sick of the pixmaped backgrounds and Eterm's failure to take part in Gnome session management. I like being able to log in and have Galeon start up in the right viewport of the right virtual desktop in the right place, Evolution do the same, etc. Having my four terminal windows start up piled on top of eachother in the wrong viewport kinda spoils that. I switched to Gnome-terminal, since I've heard in a few places that it's relatively light-weight, and as one would expect it participates in session management properly. However, it doesn't pass mouse clicks through to the underlying app the way Eterm does, which I find mildly annoying, so I'm looking for something else.
