I broke webmin

screwed installation of webmin

Don't know how I did it, but webmin got toasted.

using debian I had done something silly and thought it would be a good idea to do a apt-get remove webmin and then apt-get install webmin.

I assumed apt-get would like preserve the old settings and stuff, but it totally toasted it. I lost the webmin accounts and a shed full of modules.

in etc I have etc/webmin which is the new fresh install, and etc/webmin.1032814309

In that second directory is my old stuff.

Can I just copy the contents into etc/webmin?

If not, how do I install all the missing modules? I tried the webmin update / upgrade but it doesnt install them. I need apache etc. How do I create the user accounts. I see there is a sync option, will that work?

Copying the contents from the old /etc/webmin to the new should work (although i haven't tried it), alternatively do apt-get on each webmin module you want, here's the list [packages.debian.org]
