hi all, i'm wondering what would be the best/easiest way to transfer the settings from an older .conf file after updating to the latest version - some directives might be new, some outdated etc... any suggestions?

I usually just open them both up together and move down through them adjusting the new one based on the old. Cut and paste for large sections. The order should be the same.
Back-up the old rename the new and restart.

thanks for the reply! i was looking for a nice tool and found WinMerge but unfortunately it's for Windows only :( nobody here using a similar tool for UNIX?
