Is anyone running Fedora Core 4 on a Dell SC420?

Please leave any things I should know before installing.

I am brand new to Linux and I a basically following a book that runs through Fedora Core 2.

I read somewhere that with Fedora Core 2, you needed to install a new driver for the built in NIC, does anyone know if you still have to for Fedora Core 4?

Also: I have an 80gig drive, any suggestions for partitioning? FYI- I am not going to install any other OS on this (just Linux).

Thanks!

I have a sc420 and I just installed fedora core 4 on it. No you don't have to worry about the onboard nic card.

You have to worry about the video driver, if you plan to use X server. (Graphical thingy like windows)

For some reason it hangs, you will have to do a text install of fedora 4 and then switch the video driver with an older one of fedora core 3. Its actually not that hard to do.

hope that works for you.
