Hi all.

On my pc I run suse 9.0

Over the past month or so I have had to re-install my bootloader 3 times. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it? On boot up the bios screen appears as normal.

It then prints

Loading grub stage 2...

and hangs.

To recover the system I need to insert the Suse cd 1, go into repair system and reinstall bootloader then restart and it works fine.

Thanks in advance.

Mack.

In your BIOS, try changing your hard drive setting from "Auto" to "LBA", if is not already. I haven't had this problem but I read it in a few places so it's worth a shot.
