Apache Lookback Feature

Hi,

We all know the Apache lookback feature is great. For example, I can have widgets.com/models/number6/size3 go to widgets.com/models/ and then get the variables "number6" and "size3" from the URL.

What I would like to do though, is have the lookback feature go all the way back to index page rather than the models page

widgets.com/models/number6/size3
goes to widgets.com/

so that I would have all three variables "models", "number6" and "size3" to work with.

Is it possible to have the lookback feature, or some other method, do this? And if so, how?

I assume you're talking about Apache's rewrite rules.

Sure, you can redirect to any page, with or without parameters.

Yes, but would I be able to "grab" the variables I am attempting to pass along in the url?
