Uhm, what is it you want to do?

If it's file-sharing, Linux has a thing called Samba that you might want to take a look at. Mostly everything else can be fixed by typing in the IP address of the Linux box as the host on the Windows client. E.g. you want to surf to the Linuxbox, and it has the ip 10.0.0.5, you just write 10.0.0.5 in the address bar in IE.

actually, what i want to do is make a connection between server-linux mode and client-window mode. The main point is to make sure server which based on linux mode can control(shutdown, transferring data, etc) client based on window mode. So what i want to know is,how i want to get file from client, how i want to make server can control client, etc. Sorry for everythin,,,im newbiez in linux.

...?

I'm still not quite sure what you mean... Do you mean remote logins? Or do you want a thin client that boots and use the server for all applications and such?

Or is it something more along the lines of a firewall?

Well, there are many thin client solutions involving netboot and whatnot, I saw an article somewhere a few days ago involving VNC to boot and manage a central server, it sounds just what you're looking for... Let me dig it up and I'll get back to you.

Okay, finally found it. It got quite some documentation handy, although you might run into a few problems yourself. It should get you started though. Enyoy!
