Linking sites together with a links page

is it considered a ring

I have 7 sites with one site being linked to from links pages and some internal pages from all other sites. The rest of the sites are not all interlinked via a links page (some are linked) and there is some interlinking via interior pages.

Is this bad?

Also, I have exchanged link with several of the same sites for all of my sites. Total of about 7-10 sites exchanged with. Is this dangerous.

Not really... as long as there isn't a "heavy" pattern to the linking structure.

However, it is better for you to link common themed sites via pages of shared interest (for your audience). If the sites being linked do not share a common interest... they really should be on a links page.

No problem here. Interconnectivity is what makes the web work well - just remember that your links (to you and from you) are best if on topic/on theme.
