Basically, I have several websites that I have published in the past. I own all of the domains and they have seen their better days in search, but have many great backlinks. (Authority .coms, .edu, etc) Of course, since they've been online for up to 20 years, they also have their share of bad backlinks, though all are natural. The sites used to house affiliate offers, adsense, etc but I moved away from those ad type systems and started a service based business in a very similar market a few years ago.
Is there any value to me with these domains? I don't really wish to redirect the links to my newest venture which is a few years old and would likely scream "manipulation" or "done for SEO only". Am I too paranoid?
To put this into perspective, I was very much small niche focused for many years. If it were numbers, I had a website for #1, a separate site for the #2, another for #3 etc and they all had ads on them. Now, I've taken the other route for a few years and have a much larger, single, well branded service based website that is just about ALL numbers, and I fear the history may be hurting me in the knowledge graph due to having affiliate content, ads, etc in their past. We all know that Google knows all.
Opinions?
