Well, getting Moz or Ahrefs to move their proprietary markers will not help with your actual SEO. Ya, the number of links to services find on the web will vary wildly from week to week. It just depends on when their crawlers run.

Obtaining links from authority sites can help increase website visibility and MOZ rank. But to do that, you need to provide high-quality content which is optimized and can attract traffic.

Create an affiliate program, this will certainly work better.

The backlinks have to make sense and provide value. If not there then nothing will change or advance.

Apart from backlinks creation you can increase your website MozRank by working in the following areas:
1] Create quality content in your blog/site. So that others find it useful information for their and worth linking to your website/blog pages.
2] Free yourself to do the backlinks audit of your website and disconnect the BAD / LOW Score backlinks.
3] Give your website a perfect structure so that Google and Users find it smooth to move from one page to another.

The backlinks have to make sense and provide value. If not there then nothing will change or advance.

This, especially on newer/smaller sites since the last spam update. If the link to your site doesn't lead to a page that directly helps serve the intent of the page it came from, and isn't talking about the content on your page, it's likely ignored.

I don't know if Moz measures relevence in generating scores, but I'd imagine they do on some level.

Google seems to assign authority to page clusters and not all pages on a site are in the same cluster. On top of all the other reasons, that's another reason 3rd party scores are doomed to be innacurate the moment they are created.

If you're looking to raise the score to sell the site I'm no expert on MoZ scores, sorry.

@ninaharris .... Welcome to Webmasterworld!

Glad to have you! Also IMHO these "ranking/authority" scores are a bit rigged on the House side, not the Players. :)
