I have a new blog and also I am new to SEO. I know that link building is very important strategy. I want to know how can I develop backlinks for my blog. Should I go for comments posting, forum posting etc. How can I search for sites related to my niche. Please guide me

I usually start with Google, then sometimes go to Bing.

There are a lot of experienced webmasters discussing this question here: [webmasterworld.com...] where you might get useful tips from others about what works and what is not a good idea. Your "comments posting, forum posting" is covered pretty well. In general those kinds of links won't serve you well, try to find established sites of the same topic as yours who might share links with their visitors. Links you can post yourself are not recommended.
