URLs that Rewrite Appearing on the SERP

Seeing an increase in the amount of URLs that rewrite on the SERP

Has anyone else seen an increase of URLs on the SERP that rewrite to another URL post Penguin 2.0?

Are you talking about your own URLs? Otherwise, how could you possibly know that they're being rewritten? Even the googlebot can't tell.

Or did you mean redirect? That would mean that an unusual lot of outdated URLs are in the index. Or that something went severely wrong with the latest update and they've been forced to use some older index. (Hm, interesting speculation. Is each consecutive g### index a discrete dataset that can be stored somewhere? You'd think there wouldn't be enough space on the planet to hold them all :))

I found that on my old laptop, it turned out to be a virus.

Yes, speaking of my own URLs I have found that since the last update many URLs that have been redirected it is the request path that is appearing in the SERP rather than the expected target path.
