I'm running 3 seperate sites, one for each business I own and google is aware of all 3 and has ranked them

I've now created a new site to encompass all 3 business into the 1 but I'm unsure about how to go about telling google or if I even need to

Advice appreciated thanks

You simply need to set up a 301 redirect [blog.benacheson.com] which is a permanent, server redirect - from each of your old domains to your new one. This should pass most (but not all) of your PageRank, link equity and anchor text equity.

You might also want to notify Google in Webmaster tools for each site, but this is not essential:

Webmaster tools / (Select old site URL) / Site configuration / Change of address.

Thanks Ben, that sounds like good advice

I wonder if it might be best to do the redirect and then tell google about it?
