PR0 Links Are They Helpful?

Are PR0 Links Worth It?

As part of my ongoing strategy to increase my on-line presence, I am in the process of building links to our website.

I have heard that Google can frown upon the fact that all the links that point to my website have a PR of 2,3,4 and so on.
I have also read that PR0 links are also useful for rankings (since I could get hold of more of them)

So, my question is, are PR0 links actually worth acquiring? All sites would be static pages, of good quality, and not just dynamic directories.

Every link is a vote so any valid link will add more or less weighted votes.
Specially, a PR0 link can be useful if it points to internal pages and the anchor text is just appropriate.

Links with appropriate link text amongst relevant contextual content is always going to be a plus. With the exception of Bad Neighbourhoods that is.

I would think a link from a PR0 site that has the potential to be a PR3+ would be worth it.

If the site is related I would think so as well.

remember too, that a link on a page with a pr 0 today could be pr 3 or 4 in a year or two as the site becomes more popular/trusted so the value of the link, assuming too a good anchor text and good context would be helpful. over the long run.
I think actually that the google bot might be more suspicious if suddenly you had a large bunch of pr 4-6+ links and nothing else, that might not look 'natural' to a search engine.

Don't forget every website was a PR0 once.

wouldn't it be strange if a website had no PR0 links at all? It seems to me, that would not be natural.
For example, for every PR7 link to imdb.com, there are probably hundreds, maybe thousands, of links from blogs, forums, and other places with no PR and probably not very good rankings in general. So you could think of it as trying to build a natural link profile.
