Hi webmasters!

Many inbound-links to my site in the last 3 months have not been picked up by google - these include main directories such as botw.org and business.com. When i search for links pointing to my domain in google - they do not show. It seems to be there is a freeze on google for picking up in-links, anyone else had the same experience or am i just being impatient?

thanks Clyde

Are you using a link: search or your personalised data available to you in a verified Webmastertools account?

The latter is a lot more detailed.

I've used both, webmaster tools definately shows more detail but not any sites for the last few months - just wanted opinion based on other webmasters experience?

Well, I am seeing links made in the last month or so, recently appearing in WMT.

However, surprisingly, Yahoo seems to have found more links, more quickly.

Google usually do not give you the full updated sets of link. Try using Yahoo directory to find backlinks to you, they are more accurate as far as i know.

Please consult the Google FAQ for info on how Google does not display all links, and what links they do show do not represent links that count or don't count, and that it's just a sample.

Good luck.
