so say you are going after a popular big keyword....such as "wigets"

You want to score a page one Google rank for the keyword....

the page is all on page optimized for the keyword....

Is it best just to keep going after links with the anchor text being "widgets" all of the time?

Or should you mix it up with say "wigets information" and "Widgets Website"

should you add to the anchor text to create a more natural look to the linking or will it weaken the link? Or as long as you have the main keyword in the anchor text it will count just as strong as having only the main keyword/

and last...should you just keep going after that URL and page with the links and anchor text until you get the position you desire?

TIA

Its best to have a variety of anchor text. Looks more natural to search engines.

You may of answered your own question there with the word 'natural' ;)

and last...should you just keep going after that URL and page with the links and anchor text until you get the position you desire?

SEO is a never ending task. Just because your site is #1, doesn't mean it'll stay there next month, next week or even tomorow.

Hi tshirtdeal,

Yes, revolving the anchor text gives the natural looks to the link building.Create more and more Anchor Texts as much as you can and embed the desired keywords with the other phrases.

Also for best results, get your one way links placed on the page where the webpage title tag and webpage body text matches your anchor text. it will take time to search this type of pages and even get one way links from these pages but in the end you'll get the stable rankings.

Best Of Luck..

I'm not agree... excessive anchoring may cause spamming but if they are on the same page. If you want to anchor a text and wanted it to be more natural, you have to write a proper content and that content would have a proper text with appropirate pragraphing and each paragraph starts with the targeted keyword, and now it is time to blend that keyword with anchor suit.

Thanks,

bilal
