Why does Google Webmaster shows links with no follow as external link?

Hi,

I am aware that Google will not count No follow links as external links for a site whereas Yahoo does.

But why does Google Webmaster tool shows links with no follow(links at blog comments)? Whether Google Webmaster tool show links with no follow as external link? Can anyone please explain this.

From Matt Cutts during last Friday's Webmaster chat session:

the idea of links in the webmaster console is to show practically all of the links that we know of. That's why we even show nofollow links.

...and:

we don't follow nofollow links, but we do include nofollow links in the webmaster console just to give webmasters a full picture of all the stuff that's linking to them

They don't follow them but it doesn't mean they don't use them in the algorithm.

In fact they are the best links to use in an algo because you know they are for real and not just there to game the SEs
