MySpace just blasted out bound link value

Looks like Myspace is using a link redirector on new links in profiles

I just noticed this, but when you enter a link in a Myspace profile now, they are being converted to www.msplinks.com/uniquecode. This change will effectively negate all search link value for links in the profiles and comments.

Obviously there is still potential for good traffic from regular Myspace traffic.

I really liked setting up Corporate Myspace accounts... Time to move on.

I dislike MySpace for a lot of reasons so I'm certinaly not interested in spending quality time there if I can't even get a link out of the experience. : )

Criminy.

Still, I see that this doesn't happen to posts in the MySpace blog. Do links from the blog section lack value? I mean, they won't be worth as much as the links in the profule, sure - but is there no reason to pursue links out the blog at all?
