Link from PR8 - when will it show?

After one week the link still doesn't show

I have a new cfm site. About one week ago, a site with PR8 linked to my site. When I check back links to my site, nothing shows.
How long will it take for Google to show this link and all other links i am sweating on?

It's difficult to determine. It could be a week, a month, or even a year. Keep in mind that Google is not going to show all of your backlinks when doing a link: command.

Thank you, this explains it. I thought that it takes only few days to index a site with PR8 linking to it.

if google has a cache with your links there, they know the links exsists.

I would guess that it takes google hours to days to find the link, but generally you'll find only a few links displayed on a link: search.

Be happy about the PR8 link and don't worry about it being displayed or not.

On a general note: I find the linkdomain: on yahoo a lot more telling. I never use link: on g.
