They threw a lot of stats at me, but when I asked them to show me what sites were linking to me as a result of their efforts, they were unable to do show me any!
They claimed they don't normally even look for such results!
Does this make sense?
They said they would "Establish a custom link-tracking report" and that their reporting would provide "status of pending link requests"
Wouldn't the average website owner assume that the above promises
would mean they could tell me what links to my site were generated by there efforts?
Is it unusual for SEO companies to provide evidence of links generated?
Yes, any company that provides link building at a service should have a list of all the links that they have acquired for you...
I mean come on...what if they were selling you page optimization and they told you they cant show you what they have done?
Find another company or do it yourself (or hire someone)
You get what you pay for when it comes to buying link building as service...
