Please share your opinions about link exchange services. Which are good, which bad.
I wont mention any by name (I think that would not be allowed by WebmasterWorld) but avoid services that:
- guarantee links
- guarantee a link with a specific type of PR
- fully automate linking without editorial discretion
- provide pagerank data for commercial profit
Linking services or software that allows you to maintain editorial discretion on making links are preferred so that you can make the decision as to which sites you will or will not link to, not some fully automated linking scheme.
