Has anyone considered scattering links throughout a site, rather than on a links page. For example, somewhere on each page someone could ad a couple of links (could look a little like adsense ads) under the title "Interesting Links". This would get rid of links pages altogether. Of course it would be better if the links were relevant.

Swapping links under this kind of scheme could be interesting.

i don't think you'll find any argument that links throughout the site are more valuable than those located on a "links" page.

more valuable to the webmaster, and if done properly, more valuable to the user.

why would you want to spend that much time to scatter links around your site instead of just putting them into one place? I don't see any good for doing that beside making your visitors click on those links to leave your site to go to other people's site. I rather show paid ads.
