if i have several business, widgets,com, greenwidgets.com, and bigwidgets.com - is have a link to each one of these on each of there pages that beneficial? can it be dangerous?

I think the general belief is that as long as the pages have different content, and the links are of use to your visitors, than there is no reason you should not have the links there.
I have done this on my sites for a few years now with 3 sites I own all related to the same industry, but different aspects withion that industry. I have not had any problems
